Clinic:  Left  thigh mass,   2  years.
 
Gross:   see ilmages  6000, 6001,6003
 
The  tumor  is  well  delimited,  even  capsulated.
 
Problem:  we   received  the    specimen in  too little  formalin  and   large parts  are    decomposed.   Few  tiny   subcapsular   areas   are  somewhat  preserved.  Is  it possible    based on these    limited   material   to make   a    diagnosis.  Suggestion:  liposarcoma,  myxoid  / round   cell  ?

kunze 2012-04-01 11:32	I think, the diagnosis of a myxoid liposarcoma is justified. The vascular pattern is not just characteristic, but there are lipoblasts and nonatypical adipocytes in a myxoid matrix.
