Breast  node  (mother of    my  student)  diagnosed  by  private pathologist  as inconclusive.  Despite  the  poor   quality of  the  slide  I  dare  to   make  a  diagnosis  of  an invasive  carcinoma (in  a    radial  scar,    image    6344  is  from  the non-neoplastic  surroundings).   Whats is your opinion  ?  Thanks !

kunze 2012-04-02 13:21	Cytological details cannot be recognized but the pattern of spread in fibrous tissue and adjacent fat tissue is highly suggestive of an invasive ductal carcinoma (probably arising in a radial scar).
