I discussed the matter with Dr.M.Epstein, vice director of the department of cardiolgy at the Kaplan Hospital Rehovot Israel. The information he gave me is that stem cell therapy in cardiac disease is still at an early experimental stage. Stem cells have been implanted during cardiac surgery in some centers,however, it is too early for large conrolled studies or protocolls.
