Clinic:    deformed   right    upper  arm  (x-ray)  and    right  hand  accompanied  by  swelling. Fracture   of  the  humerus   5   years   back.

Now,     I  receive  tiny   fragments  of  the      humerus  with the   question:  Ollier's  disease,  fibrous  dysplasia ?

My  problem:   I   cannot  see    any   cartilage.   Some   of  the   fragments     are   consistent  with  fibrous   dysplasia.  My   first  impression  was  that   these  are      fragments   of   a   callus, however, the   fracture    is   5   years   back.  In  the         cellular  fibrous     fragments     osteoid-like  substance    is  formed  by    cells   which  look  not     highly    pleomorphic,  can   we  rule  out  an  osteosarcoma ?  Thanks !

There are no morphological hints at a chondroid bone lesion. I share your impression of a reactive callus-like formation of osteoid and bone trabecles. The inflammatory infiltration of the fibrous tissue in images ..79 to ..84 lead me to a chronic osteomyelitis with a radiologic finding similar to a fibrous dysplasia.
