Dear iPath Users
Finally I could port the old email address <ipathmail@ipath-network.com> to a new emai server and it seems to be working again. I have enbaled the notifications and will observe email sending and email import over the next days. Should there be any probem, please contact us.

Dear iPath users,
for a day or two we are finishing the setup of our new mail service. During this time iPath will not send email notifications (new case, new comment, daily summary).
Everything else works as usual: you can sign in, post cases and write comments without interruption — nothing is lost. Please check your groups on the website directly if you are waiting for news.
When the notifications return, each message will have a simple link at the bottom to change your settings or stop the alerts.
No action is needed on your side. Thank you for your patience.

Dear iPath users,
after the server migration of 22 October, all services of iPath are running again:
- Web portal: online, as before.
- Email notifications (new case, new comment, daily summary) are being sent again. They now come from the address old.server@ipathnetwork.org; please check your spam folder once and mark them as “not spam”.
- Cases sent by email are imported again. Please send them to the new address cases@ipathnetwork.org; the old address ipathmail@ipath-network.com keeps working for now. If you sent a case by email between 22 and 23 October and cannot find it, please send it again.
- Undeliverable addresses: if a notification to your address bounces, iPath switches off your email alerts automatically. You can turn them on again under Alerts once your address works.
Thank you for your patience.

Over the past 24 hours, the iPath network was temporarily taken offline to perform urgent, mandatory infrastructure and security upgrades.
Why Was Maintenance Necessary?
Earlier this week, cybersecurity agencies and the PHP Foundation disclosed critical, wide-reaching zero-day vulnerabilities in the PHP runtime engine—specifically CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619 (collectively dubbed "PHP2Shell"). These vulnerabilities allow unauthenticated remote execution at the server level, posing an immediate risk to systems running legacy PHP environments. To safeguard our database, user records, and telepathology case data, our team executed an emergency migration to transition the iPath platform to a modernized, fully secured server environment running PHP 8.5.
Current Status
Web Portal: Online and fully functional. You can sign in, review cases, browse medical imaging, and create entries directly through the web interface as normal.Email Ingestion & Notifications (Temporary Limitation):
The automatic email processing service (importing case files received via email and sending automated email notifications) is temporarily disabled while we finish adapting the mail services to the new server architecture. Mail read and write capabilities will be restored over the next few days.
In the interim, please perform all case submissions and review communications directly through the website portal.
We sincerely apologize for the short notice, the downtime, and any disruption this caused to your clinical and diagnostic workflows. Protecting the integrity and confidentiality of your data is our highest priority.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
